Program
Forensic Science, B.S., Crime Scene Investigation Concentration to Criminology and Criminal Justice, M.A. Accelerated Program
Summary

Saint Louis University's Forensic Science B.S., Crime Scene Investigation concentration students are a natural fit for this accelerated B.S. to the Criminology and Criminal Justice, M.A. accelerated program. Students interested in on-the-scene forensics work (crime scene investigation, fingerprint processing, investigation), typically in police agencies and government agencies, can obtain an advanced degree with only one additional year of schooling.

The program would also allow SLU students in forensic science to gain a better understanding of the criminal justice process. In addition, students gain more opportunities for professional advancement in their future career vs. individuals with a bachelor's degree.

Students accepted into the program will be allowed to take four classes in the M.A. program (12 credits —two in the fall and two in the spring) during their senior year which allows them to complete the M.A. in just one additional year of study. These CCJ classes taken at the 5000 or 6000 level are taken once the student achieves senior status and would count towards the CCJ electives required for the bachelor's crime scene investigation concentration.
