Examples include the next generation of environmentally friendly materials (e.g. bio-based polymers) and devices for renewable energy sources (e.g. wind turbines). Mechanical engineers are involved in the design, manufacture and recyclability of most products: from mobile phones, to medical devices to Formula 1 racing cars. This course develops the technical, personal, interpersonal and professional skills necessary in mechanical engineering.
