Marketing is a fast-moving and crucial business function. It has been through a tech-driven revolution over the last 20 years. With Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram & Tik Tok now accounting for the lion’s share of global advertising revenues, marketing now has to be more targeted, measurable, and effective than ever before.

Combine a passion for marketing and an interest in management. This course provides you with a set of leading-edge skills with a thorough grounding in management to prepare yourself for a range of exciting marketing careers.  

You will have the opportunity to develop knowledge in managing modern organisations and understand relevant marketing principles. You will gain experience and expertise in developing innovative and sustainable marketing campaigns. We offer a wide range of modules to choose from; you will be able to shape your own degree. 

About

This course is designed for international students with an academic background from outside of the UK. The first year taught at INTO UEA is designed to improve your English language skills, increase your knowledge of academic theories, and develop key study and research skills for undergraduate study, before you transition to the Norwich Business School (NBS). 

On this Marketing and Management BA, you’ll explore the essential elements of marketing, from a theoretical and practical perspective. 

Marketing is primarily concerned with understanding markets and the needs and wants of existing and potential customers. To better understand these principles, you’ll explore several approaches, including: consumer behaviour, segmenting, targeting, positioning, pricing, and marketing communications. You will also examine the theoretical frameworks that underpin the way organisations respond to market demand.  

By studying marketing and management together, you’ll gain a unique insight into the continuous changes and challenges of the business world. 

You’ll have the opportunity to explore contemporary issues in marketing and develop skills in innovative and sustainable marketing strategy, planning effective marketing communication, and utilising digital marketing and social media channels, understanding consumer behaviour and cultures, and analysing customer insights through market research. As part of this course, you will also gain experience, expertise and confidence in communicating innovative marketing ideas through group presentations, professional project reports and even short-form video artefacts.  

Alongside the study of marketing, you will also develop skills in managing modern organisations, such as understanding and analysing the business environment, managing and processing digital data, and strategic awareness and analysis, as well as transferable employability skills through an applied business project.
