Summary

The Level 3 AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting is a part-time course designed for people who either want to enter this occupational area, change career or for those who are already working in the accounting field at an intermediate level. It is ideally a progression route for those having previously completed their AAT Level 2 qualification whether an adult or a recent school-leaver.

This qualification covers a variety of fundamental and advanced accounting techniques and disciplines. Students will acquire and enhance skills essential for various financial processes, such as maintaining cost accounting records, advanced bookkeeping, and preparing financial reports and returns. You will also learn software skills through spreadsheet training for accounting.

Where can I progress next?

Successful completion of this course offers career opportunities and a pathway to higher education, including progression to the AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting at Level 4. More than 30 UK universities and higher education institutes currently offer exemptions to AAT professional members enrolling on finance-related degrees. As part of the AAT qualifications suite, it supports both horizontal and vertical progression. Completion also qualifies students as registered bookkeepers.
