Summary

This qualification should be taken alongside two other A Level subjects and depending on your future plans, it sits well alongside other science related courses. This A Level Chemistry course provides an excellent introduction to the subject, resulting in a greatly enhanced understanding of this branch of science. The course is a full-time, two-year programme for students aged 16+. The science department has links with Aston University and Coventry University and supports students applying for masterclasses at universities, placements and programmes to help students to progress to a university. You will explore chemistry within various contexts and its influence on industry as well as numerous facets of daily life. The course aims to enhance your investigative and problem-solving skills through exposure to a diverse range of scenarios. Emphasis throughout the course is on developing knowledge, competence and confidence in practical skills and problem solving.
