This one year Level 3 qualification covers the technical needs of today’s motor vehicle repair industry, working on all types of light vehicles. It’s ideal for school leavers or adults looking to become a vehicle technician or MOT tester. Covering all light vehicle technologies at an advanced level, you will carry out practical diagnostic fault-finding tasks. You will become fully qualified to work at the likes of Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan, Toyota and all the major brands that deal with servicing, maintaining and rectifying warranty work at main dealerships.

As a practical-based course, you’ll carry out diagnostic fault-finding tasks. It provides the essential knowledge to be a service technician working on cars and vans in all types of garages, dealerships, and maintenance depots, AA, RAC and more. You’ll learn to test and diagnose more complex faults and complete repairs on engines, chassis, transmissions and electronics. You’ll also learn more about the different job roles in the industry and the equipment used to maintain and repair vehicles.
