Summary

Get stuck in from day one, learning through an energetic combination of hands-on coaching and theory. Our 1-year Sports Coaching Cert HE is equivalent to the first year of a degree and is recognised as a Higher Technical Qualification approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education.

• Get to grips with the basics of sports and exercise psychology and learn how to encourage others to reach their potential.
• Understand the workings of the human body, and how the skeleton, muscles, nervous system and cardiovascular system work together when we move.
• Explore approaches to coaching children of all ages and learn how to motivate different individuals towards different goals.
• Look at contemporary issues in sport and get an overview of different workplace settings, including health, education and sport.
