The LL.M. in U.S. Legal Studies program is designed for international students who have completed their first degree in law in another country and are seeking to qualify to take the California Bar Exam. The program of study for the LL.M program requires a minimum of 26 units and is designed to be completed in two semesters of full-time study. The curriculum includes 12 required units in the fall, 4 required units in the spring, and an array of elective courses that students can select from to complete their 26 units of credit. A full immersion experience that places LL.M students in the same in-person classes as J.D. students. Courses are taught by experienced faculty who are experts in their fields and who will challenge students to think critically and creatively. Classroom discussions will benefit from diverse perspectives and backgrounds from different countries and cultures.
